Flamers in Harrisburg

It’s about time. Flamers in Capital City Mall just opened up. This place is amazing! If you haven’t made the journey to Park City, or haven’t eaten at the Flamers there, you owe it to your taste buds to visit the one at Cap City. A 1/3-pound slab of cow with fries and a soda sets you back a mere $5 and change. The burgers themselves are flamed (hence the name) and are incredibly good. They’re probably terrible for your circulatory system, but who’s counting? The toppings are equally good — REAL lettuce (not shredded), fresh tomatoes, sliced (not diced) onions, and a slew of others are added at the very end. You can also get so-so chicken patties and hot dogs, but the burgers are the main attraction.
Actually, the Cap City food court is pretty decent all-around. Once Boardwalk Fries, KFC, Taco Bell, The Soup Guy, and Garfield’s open up, the mall will have the best mall food anywhere.
I know that’s not saying much. But given the free wifi, it is — for the moment — the nicest food court around.
