Fisaga?

I heard a rumor that Fisaga was on the way out.  Problem is, I heard this rumor about 8 weeks ago, and they’re still open.  I’ve also heard that we’re getting a superclub, so my rumors don’t always pan out.  But be safe — get your turbans now.

  1. I have it on very reliable information that Fisaga hasn’t paid the rent in several months and that the landlord is looking to possibly get them out of the space.

  2. Someone told me that their rent was obscenely low. That will be a shame if they do close, but nobody can say they didn’t see it coming. When they ditched their former image for the whole college / sports bar look, they became another no-name bar lining Second. Great spot for lunch or dinner, but around 10 it starts to take a dive.

  3. Their chef died in January (I think, it may have been December) and the food went way downhill after that. The bar isn’t enough of a draw anymore to sustain business like before. That place used to be hoppin’!

  5. About the superclub rumor–

If it has to do with the “exclusive” in April’s Fly Magazine, whoever told you that should have read the last page—it’s an April Fools.

  6. No, I’ve been hearing about the SuperClub on and off since January ‘05. Even got some interesting details from one of the people involved. But the way it stands now, it looks like even Frost is going to open long before this superclub.

  7. Fisaga looked pretty packed a few weeks ago. I’m sure they are delaying it until warmer weather because it will become a draw again soon once they open the garage doors.

As for the superclub, all I’ve heard is that it’s delayed. The plot of land is cleared and a sign indicating financing has been erected.

  8. No! Fisaga is not closeing. The owners just bought a new club over off Derry Street. It use to be called Peppers. To my understanding it is going to be Rockin with some great bands and Food.
Go Marie! You Rock like always!
