Frost Nightclub
By floor9 on Mar 16, 2006 in Downtown
I spent the past 24 hours up in State College, pouring over Frost details with Mak & Tim. Demolition is almost entirely completed, plumbing work has been completed and is paused at the “installing the fixtures” part, and electrical work is completed. Pending approval from the borough codes office, we’re even going to have a go at a few walls with sledgehammers. At this point, the punchlist basically looks like this:
- Install & paint drywall
- Open
Our ads have started running, too — check out lionmenus.com and click on “Bar Specials” and/or “Food Specials”.
The superstructure is, for all intents and purposes, completed. More pictures are in the Flickr gallery (above), but you can see a construction photo here and also here (if you look very closely in the second picture, you can actually see the Lion Shrine).
ESG was up last week to do electrical work and install a big chunk of the sound & light system. You can see the LightJockey setup here, and the main sound system here (this picture shows you how our music library is shaping up).
Our alarm system was completely hooked up as well. To date, only the doors were alarmed, but as of Thursday, our motion detectors & glass break sensors were functional as well. You can see the video of the test run here.
And again, all the rest of the pictures are in the “Frost” set on Flickr, above.
