The No-Dash Bash
By floor9 on Apr 27, 2006 in Downtown
Downtown Harrisburg was the site of much celebration last night, as Tim, Mak, and myself made our way from one of Second to the other in celebration of my latest prized acquisition:
Say hello to floor9.com!
When I first registered floor-9.com, floor9.com was being used by a web development company. They have since disappeared, and consequently their domain registration has expired. Now, whenever I’m out and I meet some girl who happens to not only have a bob but also know who Ladytron is, I no longer have to explain that there’s a dash between the “floor” and the “9″. It’s just floor9.com.
So web politics aside, we began our night at Molly B’s. I had my traditional Blue Moon, but dove immediately to a Magic Hat. While helping himself to the tap, Tim explained that he once had a magic hat of his own, but he lost it during a tragic Hall & Oates concert. The Hat was very different … apricot-y. Definitely good. I’ll be back for more. The rest of the night was a whirlwind tour of Dragonfly, Second Street Pizza (who isn’t open on Wednesdays), Hardware Bar for approximately 27 seconds, and a brief pause at Zembie’s long enough to wonder why that girl has an exclamation mark on her hat.
We finished out at Noma to find … nothing. Absolutely nothing. I didn’t expect it to be packed, but I thought there’d be at least a handfull of people nearby. Max’s actually had a bigger crowd, and they were closed. But between the four of us, we managed to have a good time. Closing time upon us, we ventured over to The Spot for our traditional end-of-night breakfast. We ran into Kristin, who not only has awesome hair, but also possesses an insatiable love for the 80s.
All this, and it wasn’t even the weekend yet.
So tell your friends — floor9.com. Drop the dash.

Ah, Kristin, glad to see you found your way over! Indeed I will be giving you a call shortly. I think it’s about time to give up on the mullet.
