BLOCKBUSTER
I’ve been happy with Blockbuster, but I think I’m going to cancel my membership. I can live without it. The $17 a month I’ll save will go towards putting floor9, blogHarrisburg, and another upcoming project on a VPS over at JaguarPC.

I also was happy with Blockbuster till now. I’m going to cancel too. 40% increase from $25 to $35 and with 7 days notice! This after an increase not long ago and droping montly free game rental. Also don’t like going exclusive Blu-Ray. Think they are making bad decisions.

I agree…total bs…I can’t believe they were losing money just trying to make more…I’m really disappointed it wasn’t that long ago they jacked up prices to where we were and now this.

I also got this in my email last night and I was seeing my rates go from $21.99 to $29.99 for 2 out at a time. No way! I immediately canceled my membership. I hope more people do so. Before I could quit they offered me alternative lower-priced memberships, but it’s just not worth it.

Yeah, I also got the “but wait!” message when canceling. It’s not that I can’t afford the $17 / month, it’s just that I’ve been on the fence about canceling anyway for a long time, and this just cinches it. I was very happy with Blockbuster’s service, I just didn’t use it enough.
