First off, merry Christmas!  Downtown is closed this Saturday, and I’ll be heading up north to spend the weekend with family.

This Friday, however, is the Met / Vault reunion party at The District.  It sounds like a blast, and lots of unnecessarily black-and-white pictures will follow.  Latin night has been put on hold this week, as DJ Herk will be spinning upstairs.  The District’s lightshow pales in comparison to … well, pretty much everything, so I’ll be on the second floor for most of the night.

New Years Eve is another story:  Andy Vicious is DJing another reunion party at the Mariott (you know which one).  That’s going to be an entirely old-school event, with nothing past the mid-90s.  As if that weren’t great in and of itself, rooms at the Mariott were going for next to nothing:  $149 for a double, including your ticket to the event.  Sweet.
